What happens when you go out on a limb?

Do others join you out there, or can you see them standing poised with the saw?

It’s important in our work, and lives, to be safe to go out on a limb. Innovation and change depend upon it. If we want things to be done differently then we need people to suggest a new option, to point out where opportunities exist, and to challenge the status quo.

But if we are fearful of the reaction when going out on a limb, the usual response will be WHY BOTHER!

Don’t we want our people to bother? What if we encouraged people to care, and to want to improve themselves and their workplace?

What does it look like when ‘out there on a limb’ is one of the best places to be?
