Depending on the topic, these two sentences can send us down different paths.
IT’S POSSIBLE that I could contract the Coronavirus. This statement triggers fear and anxiety and will drive my behaviour accordingly. I may buy some extra toilet paper!
YET IT’S UNLIKELY that I will contract the Coronavirus. This can provide perspective…
